There are many different personality assessments available. As a Chartered Psychologist I choose assessments that are reputable and based on sound research data.
To look at personality you can choose between:
MBTI Step 1 –The MBTI is one of the most widely used tools for self-awareness. It has been translated into several languages and is used to help people in career choices, relationship and family counselling, in team development and executive coaching.
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator MBTI Step 2 – This indepth assessments takes you way beyond the MBTI Step 1. Each of the four scales from the MBTI Step 1 has five subscales, resulting in over a million possible combinations. This is very powerful for self understanding and personal development.
FIRO – The Firo-B measures your interpersonal needs in three areas Inclusion, Control and Affection. It helps us to understand our relationships at work and in our personal life.
California Psychological Inventory – The CPI is a personality questionnaire which can assess relationships with people; thinking and problem-solving style; emotions, motivation and drives; team-working styles; leadership styles; and selling and influencing styles.
16PF – The 16PF Questionnaire is a self-report assessment instrument that measures the sixteen normal adult personality dimensions discovered by Dr. Cattell. It is used extensively in recruitment.
